What if there was … Plenty?
Ray Dodd is one of my absolute favourite business coaches. I think you can tell a lot about a person by the followers they have and Ray’s tribe of awesome women are exactly my kind of people, I’m very proud to be one of them. Although I’ve followed Ray for a while, this year I took the plunge and enrolled in her course. Plenty, a feminist-eye view on women and money; why we don’t make more and how historically and socially, women have been encouraged to stay small in many ways, including financially.

I’d say Ray is more than a money-mindset coach, she knows how to run a business, how to get out of debt and fundamentally understands the female entrepreneurial journey. She is also chock full of recommendations, especially books! She is also very real, by which I mean she is open and honest about her own financial situation, her prices, her struggles with debt and how she overcomes her own obstacles. She is super passionate about passing this knowledge on too and creates a warm and friendly, safe space to discuss, debate and dissect all the pitfalls and joys of being a business owner.
I guess I also connect with Ray because I feel that I’m following in her footsteps; she started coaching 1:1 and has now built up her business to the point where she no longer takes 1:1 clients and instead offers courses, coaching packages and a kind of super group membership (by invitation only). That’s the path I’m following too, so her business journey resonates with me. She won’t be for everyone and that’s the beauty of coaching I guess, we’re not all things to all people but we are exactly the right fit for the right people – whether that’s many or few doesn’t really matter! I wonder, are you one of mine?
It’s a challenging course for sure, but it perfectly aligns with both the Playing Big Facilitators Training (more on that soon) and my own personal philosophy. Plus I get to hang out with some truly fantastic women!
